Rita aus Beijing.

Scheinbar arbeiten ziemlich viele nette Leute für die Firma für die ich arbeite. Denn Rita ist schon die vierte Person bei XYZ (der Name der Firma tut nichts zur Sache und Schleichwerbung ist auch nicht mein Ding), die mir eine Antwort auf meine Frage gibt. Genau wie ich ist sie in Beijing beschäftigt. Und neben ihren normalen Aufgaben, regelt sie auch einen großen Teil meiner alltäglichen Kleinigkeiten, die ich in China nicht bewältigen kann. Also Behördengänge, Warmwasser bezahlen usw. Aber zurück zum Thema und ihre Antwort. Die steht hier:

“Start from every little thing that you do everyday could help this diverse world change to a better place, at least for people surrounding you. With different culture, language and social background, people are raised in varied way, but when it comes down to earth, it’s pretty much the same, we need necessary to live, love and interaction with people around. Treat others the way you’d like to be treated is something we all can do but ignored most of the time. We need to know what effect our actions have on the lives of others. Try to image ourselves in the other person’s place on the receiving end of the action. Keep this in mind every time we speak and act or just a smile would help you looks beautiful and it will be contagious to the rest.”

Vivian aus Taiwan lebt in Beijing.

Vivian kommt aus Taiwan. Kennengelernt haben wir uns in Beijing, wo wir beide für das gleiche Unternehmen arbeiten. Wie man die Welt schöner machen könnte, hätte sie schon vor mehr als 20 Jahren so beantwortet. Denn die Antwort wurde ihr schon von Kindesbeinen eingetrichtert:

Everybody can make the world more beautful. It only takes one good action to have a positive impact. Imagine if all people in the world would do one good thing a day. Everyday. Seven days a week. 52 Weeks. Lets calculate: 6,786,678,352 people on earth (rough estimation) do one good action 365 days. We would have 2,477,137,598,480 good actions every year. That should be enough to make the world more beautiful.

Da bleibt mir nichts mehr hinzuzufügen. Außer, dass ich heute auf jeden Fall noch eine gute Tat vollbringen werde.

Ilham und seine Frau aus Indonesien.

Ilham und ich arbeiten für die gleiche Firma allerdings an unterschiedlichen Standorten. Er als Asiate in Europa, ich als Europäer in Asien. Seine Idee (und die seiner Frau) ist denkbar einfach und funktionieren tut sie auch:

My answer (actually me and my wife) is simple: By putting a smile on your face (and your heart). I do believe that positive energy is contagious. Most people will smile back if you smile to them. Smiling can give a warm feeling too.

Ich erlebe es jeden Tag hier in Beijing. Auch wenn ich kein Chinesisch spreche, mein Lächeln wird immer verstanden und erwiedert. Smiling – the universal language of kindness.

Juan aus Kolumbien.

Juan aus Kolumbien ist die erste Person, die eine Idee beisteuert, die ich nicht persönlich kenne. Dank an dieser Stelle an Joanna, die nicht nur letzte Woche mitgemacht hat, sondern auch Juan befragt hat. Hier ist seine Antwort:

We can make the world more beautiful in many different ways, but I’m not going to set a philosophical discussion about it (which I would love to do but is not the moment).
One way to make it even more beautiful of what it is, could be setting a common point between all cultures, what I mean is, one of the many problems nowadays in the world is the cultural differences between all of us, could be  because of the religion, the money power, the education level, whatever…

The thing is that we all are part of the same world, the same physical planet, the same biosphere, etc. We all share one thing in, the world!.
Even if those differences that I mentioned make us grow as humans, we should ask to our selfs, where are we going?
And thats my point, seems like everybody is going in different directions, different ambitions, different goals, some of them good, some of them not, and to be realistic is very subjective; by setting a common point where which all human beings can co-exist, inhabit, common goals where we all can aim, without any difference at all, no matter what your religion is or what your culture is.
Its not easy, no body said it was going to be that way.
thats my point of view, just one option to make this, our world, more beautiful.

Ich finde wir sollten gleich damit anfangen. Suchen wir nach Gemeinsamkeiten und nicht danach, was uns trennt. Good point, Juan.

Joanna aus Polen

Joanna habe ich im Bus auf dem Weg zur Demilitarisierten Zone in Südkorea getroffen. Zufällig saßen wir nebeneinander und wir kamen ins Gespräch. Nach einem Auslandssemester in Südkorea studiert sie wieder Wirtsschaftswissenschaften in Polen und wird in Kürze für ein Praktikum nach Deutschland kommen. Auf die Frage “How to make the world more beautiful” hatte sie folgende Antwort:

“Simply believe that the world already is beautiful. Smile to the person you see in the mirror and every other you meet during the day. Think positive. Help people around in small things and don’t expect anything in return. Let’s make the circle start. Right now.”

Eigentlich ziemlich simpel. Aber trotzdem nicht so einfach immer zu praktizieren. Obwohl wir genau wissen, dass es richtig ist. Warum ist das so?

Mohammed aus Ägypten lebt zurzeit in Berlin.

Mohammed und ich arbeiteten für einige Monate für die gleiche Firma. Dank bekannter Social Networks blieben wir in Verbindung und ich konnte ihn befragen. Hier ist seine Antwort:

I think the world will be more beautiful if an idea is put into action
where people from all corners of the earth could seek and get both
financial and none-financial assistance regardless how big or small
the amounts are, lets call it “Help Indeed”.

What will make Help Indeed unique is that part of the application
guidelines would be, applicants must commit to helping someone else as
well with the assistance given to them, not only themselves or their
family members.

Depending on the amount given the number of other people that an
applicant must help will increase above 2 people, weather saving a
child from poverty, new job creation to those who needs it even if you
need assistance setting up a website idea that answers a growing need.

Reforming Venture capital into philanthropy and allowing help
organizations to assist the middle class not only the lower middle
part. Expanding using the same resource by expanding the scope of
assistance.

“We talk a lot about micro entrepreneurial activities in emerging markets, but they are facing their own limits in terms of access to information, possibility to reach consumers etc. They don’t have access to the positive side of globalization, they can only be sourced. The tools exists, the information is free, the communities are ready, but accessing it is still an issue for a lot of people, because of network infrastructures, low  computer access or language barriers. We should creates more bridges between technologies to give every one access to the same tools.”
